Breathe

Lately I've been exploring the depths of my breath and man I don't even know where to begin. Being conscious of each breathe throughout the day is mind altering. It can show you things and take you to places that you've never been before. Try it for a day, how does it feel being able to breathe and give love to each cell of your body? A couple days ago I put forth the intention during yoga to make sure there was a conscious effort into making each breathe count. It was by far the best yoga practise I've done over the last five years. I had this deep connection within myself and found that each pose was coming from a deeper place within myself. Each movement, each pose, each stretch. My intuition felt stronger and therefore it felt like I was subconsciously guiding myself through practise, just doing whatever felt right at each moment. Once I was in child's pose I had this vivid image of a young boy come to mind, I found myself spinning him around my shoulders, being playful and making each other laugh. It then hit me hard in the chest I thought to myself OMG YAYYY! I DO want to have kids.. I lay there feeling a lump in my throat and just let it go. I've been crying a lot more than lately but this time sticks out for me more than others. Sole because of the fact that especially over the last 3 years I've been wondering if having kids is really the right thing to do in this day in age. With seeing all the damage were doing to the planet from it being over-populated, can mother earth really hold on much longer? Is she going to be able to provide a solid ground for my future children? I don't know.. but one thing I do know is that love is so much stronger than hate. Me being fearful of bringing children into this world because of all the scary, fear based videos on the internet isn't coming from a place of love, trust or being in alignment with my true self. I've been wanting kids ever since I was about 16 years old and being 28 now this strong urge for motherhood only seems to get stronger as days go by. I know we have quite the mess to help clean up but man from the bottom of my heart I really do believe that if we come together as one, as brothers and sisters we can make the change we wish to see in the world. We have come such a long way! And we need to remind ourselves that, keep pushing forward, keep reading, keep dancing, keep meditating, keep eating fresh LOCAL foods, keep recycling and keep on falling in love with yourself and the world around you. By continuing to educate and inspire all those around us on a daily basis WE can bring forth more peace into this world and can provide an even more amazing future for not only our own children but for many generations to come. My children are going to be warriors, fearless and courageous leaders that will kill the ego with words of kindness. Follow your breathe...
